Once you’ve read and understood our beliefs, it’s important to consider the next steps in your faith journey.

Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Be baptized by Millington FBC.
THIRD STEP
Become a member of Millington FBC.
FOURTH STEP
Begin serving.
Salvation
There is much more to this life than what meets the eye. God created everything in this world, including you, and Jesus truly loves you where you are, no matter your situation or circumstances. Salvation is the act of believing that Jesus is who He says He is.
Our Sin
We are all born with a sin nature. Because of our sin, we are unable to have a relationship with God without forgiveness.
Romans 3:23 – for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
God's Gift
We can’t earn God’s forgiveness – it must be given. Jesus gave His life as a sacrifice so that we could be forgiven.
Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 6:23a – For the wages of sin is death.
Our Response
We must accept this free gift from God by committing our lives and heart to Jesus.
Romans 10:9 – that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Baptism
Baptism is an act of obedience and anyone coming for baptism will be counseled by a member of our pastoral staff to ensure they fully understand the decision that is being made.
What do I wear?
Swim shorts and bring a change of clothes. We provide a dark t-shirt as a gift to you. We have everything else you may need.
Who baptizes me?
One of our pastors will baptize you.
Where does it happen?
Baptisms are held at the baptistry on our campus. Invite family and friends to join you that Sunday or watch online as they encourage you in your new journey. You will meet one of our pastors and the baptism team at the church office lobby 15 minutes before service.
Membership
Membership is about belonging to the body of Christ and being part of a spiritual family. There will be an opportunity to share with a pastor during our service at invitation if you desire to join the church family. A pastor will explain the biblical expectations of all members and direct you further.

Starting Point
We recommend new members or anyone interested in becoming a member to sign up for our Starting Point class. Our Starting Point class will give you a sneak peek into the basic beliefs and practices of Millington First Baptist. It is a unique opportunity to meet the pastors of different ministries, learn more about the church, our beliefs, membership expectations, and how you can get plugged into what God’s doing here.
