No matter who you are, or what stage of life you are in, there is a next step you can take. Take your next step in your faith journey at Millington First Baptist.
There is much more to this life than what meets the eye. God created everything in this world, including you and that Jesus truly loves you where you are at, no matter your situation or circumstances. Salvation is the act of believing that Jesus is who he says he is. We pray that you will take a step of faith and say yes to Jesus.
- Saying yes to Jesus
- Decided to follow Jesus?
- What does it mean to follow Christ?
You may be wondering what’s next on your journey. We want to help! Join us as we guide you toward the next steps in your walk with Christ.
- Our Sin
We are all born with a sin nature. Because of our sin, we are unable to have a relationship with God without forgiveness.
- God’s Gift
We can’t earn God’s forgiveness – it must be given. Jesus gave His life as a sacrifice so that we could be forgiven.
- Our Response
We must accept this free gift from God by committing our lives and heart to Jesus.
- Celebrate Your Faith
If you’ve made the decision to follow Christ, baptism is one of the most meaningful next steps you can take. Baptism is a public celebration of your decision to follow Christ.
If you’ve made a commitment to Christ, it’s time to take the next step and make your decision known. Baptism is the best way to express your faith in Jesus and reflect your life change. Find out more about baptism through Starting Point, register online? or contact at the church office.

ARE THERE ANY PREREQUISITES FOR BAPTISM?
Our Starting Point class is not required to be baptized, however, it is recommended prior to baptism. At Starting Point will give you a sneak peek into the basic beliefs and practices of Millington First Baptist and equip you with the essentials of the Christian faith. For children in 4th-6th grade we offer a Starting Point for Kids class. - Life Groups
Life Groups is a group of friends who look to God’s Word, share life’s challenges, are real with and enjoy each other’s company in a faith fellowship. Everyone needs a group to grow, so join or lead one that best fits you.
• Membership is belonging to the body of Christ. We belong to one body, made up of many members. Romans 12:5 states, “Each member belongs to the others.” There is an interdependent relationship with one another. Membership is not about being on the roles or in the membership book. It is about belonging to Christ and to others of a faith family.
- Starting Point: Starting Point will give you a sneak peek into the basic beliefs and practices of Millington First Baptist Church, equip you with the essentials of the Christian faith, and show you opportunities where you can get involved. This is your first step in getting connected with Millington First Baptist faith family.
For Christians, tithing (a word meaning ‘tenth’) is the starting point. Tithing is giving the first 10% of our income back to the local church. If you consider Millington First Baptist your faith family, we encourage you to give generously, knowing that your money is being used to support the mission of Jesus Christ, both here locally and around the world.
- Why we give Money and church can be a touchy issue, bu tit doesn’t have to be. We don’t give because God needs our money, and we don’t give because the church needs our money. It’s much bigger than that. We give because God asked us to and following through shows that we trust Him with what he gave us.
