Hayden’s Story

I was born and raised in Memphis, TN. I have one older brother and three stepbrothers. I grew up in church, but did not know my need for a Savior till I was eight years old while attending VBS. It was that night that I accepted the finished work that only Jesus could accomplish on the Cross. That night I began a lifelong journey of following Christ and seeking His will.
During high school, the Lord began to empress on me His calling on my life. It took four consecutive summer camps and many leaders pouring into my life for me to finally wake up to what God had called me to do. I studied at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Counseling. I am happily married to my wife Serena and we have three wonderful kids: Skye, Eli and Willam. I love family, food, sports, and hunting. I have lived in Memphis, TN my entire life until moving to Covington, TN after having my daughter Skye and Son Eli.
My desire for the college ministry is to grow a group of adults who have a desire to pursue Christ. I am so excited about being able to minister and pour into the next generation of leaders, and hope to give them a Gospel perspective of the world around them.
