Cole’s Story

I was born in Memphis, TN before I eventually moved to Corinth, MS where I grew up most of my life. I have three sisters “two older and one younger”. We grew up in the church, as they commonly say “every time the doors were open” we were there. It wasn’t until the age of 9 in my Sunday school class that I realized my need for a savior. The Lesson  was speaking on  ur righteousness being nothing but “filthy rags” to God and that no matter what good we did in our lives we would never be good enough to be with God in eternity. At the age of 9 I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior and asked Him to be Lord of my life. 

During my Junior year of high school, the Lord used the people of Haiti to show me what He was calling me to. The Lord showed me on that mission trip to Haiti that: I am on this earth to proclaim his name and show and share the love of Christ by presenting the gospel and equipping people to go share and show the love of Christ for His kingdom’s sake. I told the Lord to show me what tools or gifts he had placed in my hands to do His will for this next season of my life. It just so happened to be communications. The Lord has blessed me with opportunities to serve and now be on staff in so many wonderful ministries. I am blessed to say I am married to the most wonderful young woman “Sarah Carr” and we are excited to be starting our lives together right here in Millington. I love Family, Food, and sports!  

My focus and goal for our communications ministry is that before people step into the doors of our church, they know exactly what we are about. My focus is to display exactly what I have already had the privilege and opportunity to see here at First Baptist Millington! I want people to see that our church is a church that preaches truth and welcomes you to our family no matter who you are or where you are from. I want people to know that the people at First Baptist Millington love and care about them because we understand Christ’s love.
