Mission Connections

First Baptist Church is involved in missions on the local, regional, national, and international levels.
  • Association (Mid-South Baptist Association– “Church Without Doors” that feeds and presents the gospel to homeless people in downtown Memphis.
  • National (North American Mission Board) – Mission trips that provide VBS and church camps for churches lacking manpower and resources.
  • International (International Mission Board) – Mission trips to foreign countries that involve worship teams, medical relief, construction, and evangelism.

Local and State Missions

Local and State Missions involve:
  • Ministry Scholarship – Financial aid for students who are members of FBC to attend a Baptist institution offering Christian education on the university level.
  • Confidential Care for Women Counseling Services – Atoka, TN – Christian-based pregnancy counseling center that also provides Bible study classes and basic child-care needs for new and expectant mothers.
  • Gideon’s International – Bible distribution program for winning men, women, boys, and girls to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Mission Conference Speakers – Guest speakers may include former and/or present-time missionaries who share their experiences with the church for missions awareness.
